Who it fits

Key specs explained for this model

Size: Full

This mattress measures 54 inches wide by 75 inches long. It fits standard full-size bed frames and foundations. You should choose this size if you sleep alone or have a smaller bedroom. It offers more width than a twin but less space than a queen. Verify your room dimensions before buying to ensure adequate walking space around the bed.

Firmness: Medium Firm

The surface provides a balanced feel that is neither too soft nor too hard. This level supports spinal alignment while cushioning pressure points. It suits side sleepers who need hip relief and back sleepers who require support. Compare this to plush or extra-firm options. A medium-firm rating typically appeals to the widest range of sleep preferences and body types.

Thickness: 14 in

The mattress stands 14 inches tall from the floor. This height includes the comfort layers and support core. It sits higher than many standard beds, which may make getting in and out easier for some users. You will need deep-pocket sheets to cover this profile. Check your bed frame clearance to ensure the mattress fits properly without touching the floor.

Support Core: 7-zone pocket spring system

The base uses individually wrapped coils divided into seven distinct zones. Coils in the lumbar area are calibrated to be firmer, providing targeted support for your lower back. Other zones yield gently to cushion shoulders and knees. This design helps maintain proper spinal alignment. It also reduces motion transfer compared to connected coil systems, making it suitable for couples.

Certification: CertiPUR-US certified

The foams used in this mattress meet specific standards for content, emissions, and durability. This certification ensures the materials are made without harmful chemicals like formaldehyde or heavy metals. It provides assurance regarding indoor air quality. You can trust that the foam layers are safe for long-term use. Look for this label when comparing mattresses to ensure consistent quality and safety standards.

Design and Build Overview

The Coletex 14 Inch Full Hybrid presents a 14-inch profile with a medium-firm feel. According to the listing, the construction layers a cooling gel memory foam comfort layer over a 7-zone pocket spring support core. This arrangement targets lumbar support while promoting motion isolation. The cover material is described as cooling gel, which suggests a focus on temperature regulation during sleep. The springs are tempered steel, and the foams hold CertiPUR-US certification, indicating specific material standards for safety and durability.

In terms of physical dimensions, this model measures 54 inches wide, 75 inches long, and 14 inches high. It weighs 52 pounds. These measurements define a standard full-size footprint that fits typical bedroom layouts. The height provides a substantial presence, which may affect sheet depth requirements. The weight suggests a single-person handling capability for setup, though the density implies stability once placed on a foundation.

The design includes a high-density foam encasement around the perimeter. This structural choice reinforces the edge, preventing sagging when you sit near the border. The pocket springs operate independently, meaning movement on one side does not transfer significantly to the other. This layout supports couples who require undisturbed rest. The black color option offers a neutral aesthetic that blends with various decor styles without drawing attention.

Setup and Daily Use Guide

You receive this mattress in a compressed box. Unboxing requires careful cutting to avoid damaging the cover. The Coletex 14 Inch Full Hybrid expands to its full 14-inch height after removal from packaging. You should allow time for the foam and springs to fully recover their shape before sleeping on it. The unit weighs 52 pounds, so you may need assistance moving it into position. It fits standard full-size frames measuring 54 inches by 75 inches.

Daily use relies on the listed construction features. The 7-zone pocket spring system provides targeted support. The listing states coils in the lumbar region are 30% firmer to ease lower back tension. Shoulder and knee zones are designed to yield for pressure relief. You can expect motion isolation because each spring is encased individually. This design absorbs movement at the source, which may help if you share the bed.

The cooling gel memory foam layer contours to your body. The gel beads are described as dissipating heat through capillary-like action. The high-density foam encasement reinforces the perimeter. This edge support resists sagging and extends the usable sleep surface. The materials include tempered steel springs and CertiPUR-US certified foams. These components are selected for longevity and backed by a 10-year limited warranty. The cover utilizes cooling gel technology to maintain temperature regulation during use.

What You Need Before Buying

You need a sturdy, supportive foundation to support this 52-pound Coletex 14 Inch Full Hybrid. A slatted base with gaps under two inches works best. Check that your frame matches the full size dimensions of 54 by 75 inches. This model sits among 1 options in our guide. It targets lumbar support and motion isolation more than plush comfort. If you prefer a softer, sinking feel, look at the all-foam choices. If you want higher edges, compare the perimeter foam encasement here against competitors. Rotate the mattress every few months to ensure even wear on the pocket springs and gel foam. Keep the cover clean with mild detergent. Avoid harsh chemicals that might degrade the CertiPUR-US certified materials. This bed suits those who value spinal alignment and cooler sleep surfaces over deep contouring.

Check before you buy

• Verify your bed frame supports 54 by 75 inch mattresses.
• Confirm slat gaps are under two inches for proper support.
• Check if you prefer medium-firm support over plush softness.
• Ensure your bedroom allows space for a 14-inch profile.
• Compare motion isolation needs against all-foam mattress alternatives.
