Who it fits
Good fit for
This mattress suits side, back, and stomach sleepers who prefer a firm surface. The heavy-gauge pocketed springs and firm feel promote healthy spinal alignment, which may help relieve back pain. If you are a hot sleeper, the cooling gel foam and breathable 4D knitted fabric cover can help dissipate body heat. The strong edge support and reinforced perimeter coils also benefit those who use the full surface of the bed. It works well for couples needing motion isolation during sleep.
Who should skip it
You should look at another option if you prefer a plush or soft feel. This model is rated firm, which may feel too hard for those who like sinking into their mattress. The hybrid design with pocketed springs provides bounce, which might not suit you if you want the deep contouring of all-foam beds. Additionally, the cooling features rely on gel infusion and airflow, so severe hot sleepers might need more advanced cooling tech. The firm support may not relieve pressure points for very light individuals.
Verdict: This Hiboss mattress offers a firm, hybrid setup with cooling features for California King beds. It targets sleepers who need strong support and spinal alignment without plush softness.
Key specs explained for Hiboss
Size: California King
This mattress measures 72 inches wide and 84 inches long. You need a matching California King bed frame to use it properly. Standard King frames are shorter, so they will not fit. This size offers extra length for taller sleepers. It provides a wide sleeping surface for couples who value space. Check your frame dimensions before purchasing to ensure a proper fit.
Firmness: Firm
The mattress offers a solid, supportive feel rather than a soft sink. This level is ideal for back and stomach sleepers who need spinal alignment. It prevents the hips from sinking too deeply into the bed. Side sleepers may find it too hard if they prefer plush comfort. This firmness helps maintain a neutral spine posture throughout the night.
Thickness: 12 in
The mattress stands 12 inches tall from the floor. This height sits comfortably on most standard bed frames without being too low or too high. It provides enough internal layers for both comfort and support. A taller profile often indicates more material layers for durability. This dimension helps ensure proper clearance under your bed frame.
Mattress Construction: Hybrid
This design combines memory foam with pocketed springs for balanced performance. The foam contours to your body shape for pressure relief. The springs provide underlying support and help with airflow. This hybrid approach aims to reduce heat retention common in all-foam beds. It offers a mix of cushioning and responsive bounce for easier movement.
Design and Build Specifications
The Hiboss Upgraded Luxury 12 Inch mattress uses a hybrid construction that combines memory foam with heavy-gauge pocketed springs. This layout aims to balance pressure relief with structural support. The top layer includes cooling gel-infused foam to help dissipate body heat. You get a Euro-top cover made from 4D knitted fabric, which the listing describes as ultra-breathable. This material choice suggests a softer touch against your skin while promoting airflow. The cover is certified CertiPUR-US and fiberglass-free, indicating a focus on indoor air quality and safety standards.
Dimensions are specific to the California King size. The mattress measures 84 inches in length and 72 inches in width. Its total height is 12 inches. According to the listing, the unit weighs 64.9 pounds. This weight helps stabilize the mattress on a frame, reducing shifting during sleep. The firm feel is designed for side, back, and stomach sleepers who need strong spinal alignment. Reinforced perimeter coils provide edge support, allowing you to use the full surface area without sagging.
The product ships compressed and rolled in a box. This packaging method simplifies delivery and handling. You must allow the mattress to expand fully after unboxing. The black color option offers a neutral look that fits various bedroom decors. The heavy-gauge springs are intended to provide durability and motion isolation. This design helps reduce the disturbance you feel when your partner moves. The overall build prioritizes a firm, supportive sleep surface within a standard hybrid framework.

The 4D knitted Euro-top cover feels soft to the touch. It is breathable and certified CertiPUR-US. You do not need to worry about fiberglass or strong chemical odors. Buying Considerations For Hiboss
You need a sturdy California King frame to support this 12-inch hybrid. The 72-inch width requires ample bedroom space. Check your frame’s slat spacing to ensure it meets the manufacturer’s requirements for proper support. This mattress arrives compressed, so allow full expansion time before use. Clean the 4D knitted Euro-top cover with mild detergent and water. Avoid harsh chemicals that might damage the fabric or the CertiPUR-US certified foam layers.
