LUCID 5 Inch Gel Memory Alternatives: 6 Similar Picks Compared

How alternatives compare to LUCID

Gelsea 8 Inch Full Firm Gel Foam

The Gelsea 8 Inch Full Firm Gel Foam adds three inches of height over the LUCID model. This extra thickness provides more material for pressure relief while maintaining a firm feel. Like the LUCID, it uses cooling gel in the cover to help regulate temperature. However, the Gelsea is heavier and bulkier due to its greater volume. It is ideal for back sleepers who need firmer spinal alignment but want more cushioning than a 5-inch profile allows. The CertiPUR-US certification ensures safe foam materials. You should choose this if you prefer a slightly taller bed that still prioritizes support over plush comfort.

Novilla 8 Inch Full Gel Memory Foam Mattress

The Novilla 8 Inch Full Gel Memory Foam Mattress offers the same cooling gel cover as the LUCID but increases the total height to 8 inches. This additional depth allows for a thicker comfort layer, which can improve contouring and pressure relief. The LUCID focuses on a minimal footprint, whereas the Novilla provides a more substantial sleep surface. Both are all-foam constructions designed for full-size beds. The Novilla is heavier, weighing nearly 35 pounds compared to the LUCID's 19.1 pounds. This pick suits shoppers who want the firmness of gel foam but desire extra height and deeper comfort layers without switching to a hybrid design.

GAESTE 8-Inch Full Cooling Gel Memory Foam Mattress

The GAESTE 8-Inch Full Cooling Gel Memory Foam Mattress differs significantly in firmness. While the LUCID is rated as firm, this GAESTE model offers medium support. It maintains the 8-inch height and cooling gel cover found in other alternatives. The medium feel makes it better for side sleepers or those who find the LUCID too hard. It is also heavier, weighing 38 pounds. This option is best for guest rooms where a softer, more inviting surface is preferred. If you want the cooling benefits of gel foam but need a less rigid feel, this model provides a balanced alternative to the strict firmness of the original LUCID pick.

Avenco 8 Inch Full Gel Memory Foam

The Avenco 8 Inch Full Gel Memory Foam Mattress shifts the focus from firm support to plush comfort. It shares the 8-inch height and cooling gel cover with other alternatives but offers a medium-plush feel. This is a significant change from the LUCID's firm design. The extra thickness allows for deeper contouring, which helps with pressure relief. It is also the heaviest option at 38.8 pounds. This mattress is ideal for sleepers who prioritize a soft, cushioned surface over rigid spinal support. If you find the LUCID too hard for your comfort preferences, the Avenco provides a softer, more yielding sleep experience while keeping the cooling gel features.

FATHOM 6 Inch Firm Full Mattress

The FATHOM 6 Inch Firm Full Mattress adds just one inch of height to the LUCID's 5-inch profile. It retains the firm feel and cooling gel cover, making it a close sibling in design. However, the FATHOM includes CertiPUR-US certification, which the LUCID data does not explicitly list in its key specs. This 6-inch height offers a slight increase in cushioning while remaining compact. It is suitable for back pain sufferers who need firm support but want a bit more material. The FATHOM is a practical choice for those who like the LUCID's low-profile concept but desire a certified foam construction and a marginally taller bed.

Linenspa 5 Inch Gel Memory Foam Full

The Linenspa 5 Inch Gel Memory Foam Full is nearly identical in height to the LUCID, both standing at 5 inches. It also features a firm feel and cooling gel cover. The main difference is weight; the Linenspa is much lighter at 11 pounds compared to the LUCID's 19.1 pounds. This makes it easier to move or rotate. Both are designed for low-profile frames like bunk beds. The Linenspa is a solid alternative if you want the same compact, firm support but prefer a lighter, more portable option. It serves back and stomach sleepers who need minimal cushioning and a straightforward, no-frills memory foam experience.
