Who it fits
Good fit for
This mattress suits couples and light sleepers who value motion isolation. The memory foam construction absorbs movement, ensuring uninterrupted rest when a partner shifts positions. Sleepers who tend to overheat will benefit from the breathable knitted cover and moisture-wicking comfort layer. It is also ideal for those who sit on the edge of their bed frequently, thanks to the reinforced perimeter support. The medium firmness offers a balanced feel for side and back sleepers seeking pressure relief.
Who should skip it
You should look elsewhere if you prefer a very soft or very firm sleeping surface. This mattress provides a medium firmness rating, which may not meet the needs of stomach sleepers requiring strict spinal alignment or those who need significant sinkage for deep pressure relief. If you require a cooling system with active fans or liquid circulation, this passive foam design will not suffice. Additionally, if you prefer a traditional innerspring feel with bounce, the all-foam construction here will feel too conforming and slow to respond.
Verdict: The Novilla 12-Inch King Memory Foam Mattress offers a practical, spec-driven solution for couples seeking motion isolation and moderate support. Its breathable cover and reinforced edges make it a solid choice for hot sleepers who value edge stability.
Key specs explained for you
Size: King
This mattress measures 76 inches wide by 80 inches long. The width provides ample space for two adults to sleep without disturbing each other. You get extra room to stretch out compared to a Queen size. This dimension is ideal for couples who value personal space or for taller individuals who need sufficient length. It fits standard King bed frames and sheets.
Thickness: 12 in
The mattress stands 12 inches tall from the floor. This profile offers a substantial feel without being overly bulky. It sits well on most standard bed frames, platform bases, or adjustable foundations. A 12-inch height typically allows for enough foam layers to provide comfort and support balance. You can easily slide fitted sheets over this depth without them popping off the corners.
Firmness: Medium Firm
This rating indicates a balanced feel that is neither too soft nor too hard. It provides enough pushback to keep your spine aligned while still contouring slightly to your body. Side sleepers may find it supportive enough for hip pressure, while back and stomach sleepers often appreciate the stability. You can compare this to a firmness level that offers a classic, supportive sleep surface.
Mattress Construction: Memory foam
The bed uses foam layers rather than coils or latex. Memory foam conforms closely to your body shape, which helps relieve pressure points at the shoulders and hips. It also absorbs movement, so you are less likely to feel your partner shifting in bed. This construction type is ideal for those who prefer a hugging sensation and need effective motion isolation for uninterrupted rest.
Certification: CertiPUR-US certified
This label confirms the foam meets specific standards for content, emissions, and durability. It ensures the materials are made without harmful chemicals like formaldehyde, heavy metals, or prohibited flame retardants. You can sleep knowing the indoor air quality remains healthy. This certification is a key benchmark for safety when shopping for foam mattresses, giving you confidence in the material composition.
