You get a CertiPUR-US certified foam construction that expands from a box. This setup aims to balance cooling with support for side and back sleepers in larger bedrooms.
What stands out
- 12-inch profile with medium-firm feel
- 5-zone pocket coil support system
- Gel-infused memory foam comfort layer
- CertiPUR-US certified foam materials
- Pillow-top design for pressure relief
Who it fits
Good fit for
This bed suits back and side sleepers who need targeted support for their spine. The five-zone coil system reinforces the head, lower back, and legs, which helps maintain alignment. You will appreciate the medium-firm surface if you prefer stability without excessive sinkage. The gel memory foam adapts to your curves while reducing heat retention. It is ideal for couples seeking undisturbed sleep due to the motion-isolating pocket coils.
Who should skip it
You should look elsewhere if you prefer a soft, plush surface that hugs your body deeply. This mattress is rated medium-firm, which may feel too firm for strict side sleepers needing significant shoulder pressure relief. If you want a traditional innerspring feel without foam, the hybrid construction might not match your preference. Those who dislike the initial expansion period of a bed-in-a-box should consider an older stock model instead.
Verdict: The Novilla King offers a structured, supportive sleep surface defined by its five-zone coils and gel foam. It is a practical choice for those prioritizing spinal alignment and pressure relief.
Novilla King Mattress Key Specs
Thickness: 12 in
This profile height provides a substantial feel without being overly bulky for standard bed frames. You get enough depth for the comfort layers to work effectively while maintaining stability. It sits comfortably on most platform bases or adjustable frames, ensuring proper airflow and support structure for the hybrid design.
Firmness: Medium Firm
This balance offers enough pushback to keep your spine aligned while still cushioning pressure points. It suits back and side sleepers who need support without the harshness of a hard surface. You will find it more supportive than plush options but softer than firm models, making it a versatile choice for couples with different preferences.
Mattress Construction: Hybrid foam and pocket coils
This combination merges the pressure-relieving properties of foam with the responsive support of coils. The pocket coils move independently to reduce motion transfer, which is helpful if you share the bed. You get the contouring of foam with the breathability and durability of a coil core, offering a balanced sleep surface that adapts to your body.
Support Core: Pocket coils, 5-zone support
The five distinct zones target specific areas like your shoulders, hips, and legs with varying firmness levels. This design aims to maintain neutral spinal alignment by supporting heavier parts of your body more firmly. You benefit from reduced pressure on sensitive joints, which can help minimize tossing and turning throughout the night for a more restful sleep experience.
Certification: CertiPUR-US certified
This label confirms the foam meets specific standards for content, emissions, and durability. You can be confident the materials do not contain harmful chemicals like formaldehyde or heavy metals. It ensures the foam is free from ozone depleters and has low volatile organic compound emissions, contributing to better indoor air quality in your bedroom environment.
Design and Build Details
According to the listing, the Novilla King mattress measures 76 by 80 inches with a height of 12 inches. The construction mixes gel memory foam with pocket coils. This hybrid layout aims to balance contouring comfort with structural support. The five-zone spring system targets specific body areas for spinal alignment. You get targeted firmness where you need it most.
The cover features a cooling gel material designed to manage heat. This finish helps maintain a comfortable surface temperature during sleep. The mattress weighs 112 pounds. This weight suggests it is substantial but manageable for most users. You can move it for cleaning or rotation without requiring professional help.
The bed arrives compressed in a box. This design simplifies delivery and setup in tight spaces. You must allow 72 hours for full expansion after unboxing. The CertiPUR-US certification confirms the foam meets safety standards. This detail ensures the materials are free from harmful chemicals. The overall build focuses on durability and pressure relief for side and back sleepers.
Setup and Daily Use Guide
The Novilla King arrives compressed in a box, which simplifies moving it into your bedroom. You will need to unbox it and place it on your existing bed frame. The listing recommends waiting at least 72 hours for the mattress to fully expand to its original 12-inch height. This expansion period allows the gel memory foam and pocket coils to settle into their intended shape. The 112-pound weight suggests you may need assistance to move it, though the boxed format reduces the bulk significantly. For daily use, the medium-firm feel provides a balanced surface. The five-zone pocket coil support targets specific areas, keeping your head, lower back, and legs aligned. The pillow-top layer and additional foam adapt to your body curves, offering pressure relief for hips and shoulders. This construction helps reduce motion transfer, meaning you are less likely to feel your partner moving during the night. The cooling gel cover aims to regulate temperature, which can be helpful if you tend to sleep warm. The CertiPUR-US certification indicates the foam meets specific safety standards for content and emissions. You can use this mattress on most standard platform bases or adjustable frames, provided they support a 12-inch profile. The 10-year protection plan offers long-term coverage, ensuring the structural integrity of the hybrid layers remains intact over time.
Before You Buy This Mattress
Before purchasing the Novilla King, verify your bed frame compatibility. The 12-inch height fits most standard frames, but low-profile slats may need closer inspection to ensure proper support for the pocket coils. You should also confirm that your bedroom dimensions accommodate the 76 by 80-inch footprint comfortably, allowing space for movement.
Upkeep is straightforward. The gel memory foam and pillow-top layers require no flipping, but rotating the mattress every few months helps maintain even wear across the five-zone support system. Since it arrives compressed, keep the area clear for the full 72-hour expansion period to avoid damaging the internal structure.
This model sits alongside other hybrid options in the 1 mattresses listed here. Unlike all-foam beds, its coil core offers more edge support. Unlike luxury brands, it focuses on essential pressure relief without complex features. It suits buyers who prioritize spinal alignment and a medium-firm feel over plush, sinking comfort.
