Who it fits

Key specs for this mattress

Height: 14 inches

This thickness places the bed higher off the floor than standard 8- to 12-inch models. You may find it easier to get in and out of bed without bending deeply. The extra height also allows more airflow underneath the mattress. If you prefer a low-profile look, this might feel too tall. It suits those who want a substantial, elevated sleeping surface.

Construction: Memory Foam

Memory foam contours closely to your body shape. This material absorbs movement, so you feel less disturbance when a partner shifts. It provides pressure relief for shoulders and hips. Unlike innerspring coils, it does not bounce back quickly. You should expect a sinking sensation rather than a firm, springy feel. This suits side sleepers and those who want deep contouring.

Special Features: Bed in a Box

The mattress arrives compressed, rolled, and vacuum-sealed in a compact box. This makes delivery and handling through narrow hallways much simpler. You must unbox it and allow time for full expansion before use. There are no heavy freight deliveries or large packaging to dispose of immediately. This format is ideal for apartments or rooms with limited access.

Certifications: CertiPUR-US

This certification ensures the foam is made without ozone depleters, PBDEs, TDCPP, or TCEP flame retardants. It also verifies low VOC emissions for indoor air quality. You can have greater confidence in the material safety. This is important if you are sensitive to chemical odors or have young children. It does not guarantee longevity or comfort, only material safety standards.

Design and build details

The Novilla 14 Inch Queen Memory Foam Mattress measures 60 by 80 inches with a height of 14 inches. This thickness places the bed higher off the floor than standard 8- to 12-inch models. You may find it easier to get in and out of bed without bending deeply. The extra height also allows more airflow beneath the mattress, which can help with ventilation.

According to the listing, the construction relies on memory foam layers. A breathable knit cover sits on top, paired with NanoGel foam to improve airflow and reduce heat buildup. This design targets hot sleepers who need a cooler surface. The multi-layer foam construction absorbs movement to limit motion transfer. This feature helps couples or light sleepers avoid being disturbed by a partner’s movements.

The mattress is compressed and rolled for delivery as a bed in a box. You simply unbox it and allow time for full expansion. The foam is CertiPUR-US certified, which provides assurance regarding material safety. The grey finish offers a neutral look suitable for various bedroom decors. The medium feel balances comfort and support, aiming to promote healthy spinal alignment from head to toe. This layout supports side, back, and combination sleepers by adapting to body shape and reducing pressure on shoulders, back, and hips.

Setup and everyday use

The Novilla 14 Inch Queen Memory Foam Mattress arrives compressed and rolled inside a box. This design simplifies delivery and allows you to move the package through standard doorways and stairwells with ease. Once you place the mattress on your bed frame, you simply unbox it and allow time for full expansion. The foam expands to its full 14-inch height as it rests on your foundation. The construction uses memory foam layers certified by CertiPUR-US. This certification indicates the foam meets specific standards for content, emissions, and durability, providing a baseline for material safety in your bedroom.

In daily use, the medium feel offers a balance of comfort and support. The multi-layer foam construction is designed to absorb movement. If you share your bed, movement on one side is less likely to disturb the other side. This feature helps create a quieter sleep environment for couples or light sleepers. The comfort foam layers gently adapt to your body shape. This helps reduce pressure on the shoulders, back, and hips. Even weight distribution supports better relaxation during the night.

The mattress includes a breathable knit cover and NanoGel foam. These materials help improve airflow and reduce heat buildup. The soft surface feels fresh throughout the night. High-density support foam provides stable support from head to toe. This promotes healthy spinal alignment for different sleep positions. The setup is straightforward, and the materials are chosen for everyday reliability. You do not need complex tools or professional assistance to prepare the bed for use.

Before You Buy This Mattress

You need a sturdy, flat surface for this 14-inch bed. Standard slats must be no wider than three inches apart to support the memory foam properly. If you use a frame, ensure it has a center support leg. The 14-inch height may require taller bed rails or a different headboard to fit correctly. You should also plan for full expansion time after unboxing. This model sits alongside other foam options in the 1 mattresses on this page. Unlike hybrid or innerspring beds, it lacks coil bounce. It offers a quieter, contouring feel instead. Hot sleepers may appreciate the NanoGel foam, but you should check if your room allows for the extra 14-inch profile. The CertiPUR-US certification ensures safe materials, but you still need a good sheet set that fits deep pockets. This bed suits those who prefer a plush, pressure-relieving surface over a firm, bouncy one.

Check before you buy

• Check slat spacing is three inches or less.
• Confirm your bed frame supports a 14-inch height.
• Ensure you have space for full expansion.
• Buy deep-pocket fitted sheets for the thick profile.
