Novilla vs COOL GEL: Side-by-Side Specs
Firmness level
The COOL GEL mattress explicitly lists a medium firm support level in its specifications. This firmness targets back, side, and stomach sleepers who need consistent spinal alignment. Novilla does not state a specific firmness rating in its published data. It describes a cloud-like experience with pressure relief, which often suggests a softer feel, but this is not confirmed by a numerical or categorical rating. If you prefer a defined medium-firm feel, COOL GEL provides that clarity. Novilla leaves the exact feel to your interpretation of its pressure-relieving layers.
Cooling technology
Both brands prioritize cooling, but they use different methods. Novilla employs NanoGel memory foam combined with a breathable knit fabric cover. This combination aims to dissipate heat and minimize moisture buildup for hot sleepers. COOL GEL uses a ventilated open-cell structure within its foam to enhance airflow and heat dissipation. Both mattresses feature cooling gel components in their comfort layers. Novilla adds plant-infused fiber to absorb odors, while COOL GEL focuses on the open-cell design for breathability. Neither method is objectively superior in the data, so both offer distinct cooling approaches.
Edge support
Novilla highlights reinforced edge support as a specific feature in its construction. This design helps you feel stable when sitting or sleeping near the side of the bed, reducing the risk of rolling off. The COOL GEL product data does not mention edge support or reinforcement. It focuses on high-density foam for overall structural integrity but lacks specific claims about the perimeter stability. If you frequently sit on the edge of your bed or need a usable sleeping surface near the border, Novilla’s reinforced edges provide a functional advantage over the standard construction of the COOL GEL model.
Certifications
Both mattresses are CertiPUR-US certified, ensuring the foam is made without harmful substances and meets emissions standards. Novilla holds additional certifications, including ACA and ISPA. The ACA certification verifies safety for skin contact, while ISPA confirms compliance with international quality and durability standards. COOL GEL is noted as fiberglass-free, which is a safety benefit, but it does not list the ACA or ISPA certifications in its data. Novilla’s broader certification portfolio offers more verified assurances regarding safety and industry standards compared to COOL GEL’s single primary certification.
Mattress construction
Novilla specifies a 3-layer foam design that works together to absorb motion and distribute weight evenly. This multi-layer approach is designed to isolate partner movement effectively. COOL GEL describes a two-part structure with a high-density foam base and a breathable comfort foam layer. Both use memory foam for comfort, but Novilla’s triple-layer construction may offer more nuanced motion isolation due to the additional layers. COOL GEL’s high-density base provides solid support, but the data does not detail the number of layers or specific motion-absorption mechanics as clearly as Novilla’s 3-layer system.
Which Mattress Fits Your Sleep Style
Hot sleepers seeking deep pressure relief
Novilla uses NanoGel memory foam to dissipate heat and minimize moisture buildup. The three-layer foam design contours to your body, easing tension on hips and back. The breathable knit cover adds extra airflow. This combination targets hot sleepers who need significant pressure relief and a cooler sleep surface all night long.
Sleepers needing medium firm spinal support
COOL GEL offers a specific medium firm support level, ideal for back, side, and stomach sleepers. The high-density foam base provides consistent spinal alignment. The ventilated open-cell structure enhances airflow for cooling. This firmness profile ensures you get the targeted support needed to reduce discomfort and maintain proper posture while you sleep.
Couples wanting motion isolation
Novilla features a triple-layer construction designed to absorb motion at every level. This reduces movement transfer across the mattress, minimizing disruption when a partner shifts positions. The reinforced edge support also adds stability. If you share your bed and value undisturbed sleep, this motion isolation feature is a key practical advantage.
Shoppers wanting versatile size options
COOL GEL is available in a wide range of sizes, including King, California King, Queen, Full, Twin, and Twin XL. It also offers various thicknesses from six to fourteen inches. This extensive variety allows you to find the exact dimensions and profile that fit your bedroom space and personal comfort preferences without compromise.
