Looking Beyond the PurrJoys Full Mattress? 6 Alternatives Worth a Look

How these alternatives compare to PurrJoys

LIFEMENT 12-Inch Full Cooling Gel Mattress

The LIFEMENT 12-Inch Full Cooling Gel Mattress is a foam-only option, unlike the PurrJoys hybrid with pocket springs. You get a medium firm feel and cooling gel cover similar to the original, but without the coil support core. This model uses CertiPUR-US certified foam for pressure relief and motion isolation. It is a lighter choice at no listed weight, making it easier to handle than the 33.1-pound PurrJoys. If you prefer the plush contouring of all-foam construction over the bounce of springs, this is a direct swap. It retains the bed-in-a-box convenience and full size, but sacrifices the orthopedic support structure of the pocketed coils found in the PurrJoys design.

Mnuooko 12 Inch Full Hybrid

The Mnuooko 12 Inch Full Hybrid offers a hybrid build like the PurrJoys, combining memory foam with support layers. It shares the medium firm feel, cooling gel cover, and CertiPUR-US certification. However, it is significantly heavier at 61 pounds compared to the PurrJoys 33.1 pounds. This weight suggests denser materials or a more robust coil system, potentially offering better edge support or durability. Both models are bed-in-a-box and fit full-size frames. If you want a similar hybrid experience but prioritize a heavier, possibly more stable base for spinal alignment, the Mnuooko is a strong alternative. It gives up the lighter portability of the PurrJoys for potentially increased structural integrity.

Tixutt 12-Inch Queen Gel Hybrid

The Tixutt 12-Inch Queen Gel Hybrid differs primarily in size, offering a Queen (U.S. Standard) dimension rather than the Full size of the PurrJoys. It matches the PurrJoys with a 12-inch thickness, medium firm feel, and cooling gel cover. Like the original, it uses memory foam construction and CertiPUR-US certification for motion isolation. The Tixutt weighs 51 pounds, heavier than the 33.1-pound PurrJoys, indicating a potentially denser support core. If you need more sleeping surface area while keeping the same hybrid specifications, this model works. It provides similar cooling and isolation features but requires a Queen-compatible frame instead of the Full-size foundation the PurrJoys utilizes.

RWAEZYBLUX 12-Inch Full Hybrid Mattress

The RWAEZYBLUX 12-Inch Full Hybrid Mattress adds a green tea infusion to its cooling gel cover, a feature not present in the standard PurrJoys model. It shares the 12-inch height, memory foam construction, and CertiPUR-US certification. This model weighs 53 pounds, nearly double the PurrJoys weight, suggesting a substantial support layer or coil count. It targets pressure relief and motion isolation just like the original. If you value added odor control or antimicrobial properties from green tea extract alongside hybrid support, this is a distinct choice. It maintains the bed-in-a-box format and full size, but offers a different cooling agent and a significantly heavier build than the PurrJoys.

Luxysea 12 Inch Queen Hybrid

The Luxysea 12 Inch Queen Hybrid is a Queen-size option, contrasting with the Full size of the PurrJoys. It mirrors the PurrJoys with a 12-inch profile, medium firm feel, and cooling gel cover. Both use memory foam and CertiPUR-US certification for motion isolation. The Luxysea is much heavier at 74.2 pounds, implying a dense support core or extensive pocket spring system. If you need the extra width of a Queen bed while maintaining the hybrid specifications of the PurrJoys, this model fits. It offers similar pressure relief and cooling benefits but requires a Queen frame. The significant weight difference highlights a potentially more robust construction compared to the lighter PurrJoys design.

Avenco 12-Inch Full Gel Hybrid Mattress

The Avenco 12-Inch Full Gel Hybrid matches the PurrJoys in size, thickness, and firmness. It features a cooling gel cover, memory foam construction, and CertiPUR-US certification for motion isolation. The Avenco weighs 59.9 pounds, considerably heavier than the 33.1-pound PurrJoys. This weight difference suggests a denser foam layer or a more substantial coil unit for support. Both are bed-in-a-box models designed for full-size frames. If you seek a hybrid mattress with similar cooling and isolation specs but prefer a heavier, potentially more stable feel, the Avenco is a viable alternative. It gives up the lighter weight of the PurrJoys for what appears to be a denser, more robust internal structure.
