Side-by-Side Spec Comparison
Dimensions and Size
The Zinus Memory Foam 8 Inch Green Tea Mattress is a Full size, measuring 54 inches wide and 75 inches long. The Zinus 8 Inch Short Queen Ultima RV Mattress is wider at 60 inches but slightly shorter at 74 inches in length. You should choose the Full model if you need standard width and full length. The Short Queen option fits narrow spaces like RVs or tiny homes where length is restricted. Both share the same 8-inch height, so your bed frame compatibility remains similar for both choices.
Firmness Feel
The Short Queen Ultima model explicitly lists a Medium Firm feel. The Green Tea Full mattress does not state a specific firmness level in its published data. It describes its layers as pressure-relieving and conforming, which often suggests a softer or medium feel, but this is an inference. If you prefer a defined Medium Firm feel for better support, the Ultima model provides that specification clearly. For the Green Tea model, you would need to rely on general memory foam characteristics or external reviews to gauge the exact feel.
Foam Layer Construction
The Green Tea Full mattress details its internal build: 2 inches of conforming memory foam, 2 inches of soft airflow-enhancing comfort foam, and a 4-inch high-density base support foam. The Short Queen Ultima model highlights a 7-zone comfort system and green tea/charcoal infused foam but does not break down the layer thicknesses. The Green Tea model offers more transparency on its 8-inch structure. If you care about knowing exactly how many inches of support foam you get, the Green Tea model provides those specific numbers.
Cover Material
The Short Queen Ultima model features an OEKO-TEX certified mattress cover. The Green Tea Full mattress data does not mention a specific cover certification or material type beyond the foam infusions. OEKO-TEX certification ensures the fabric is free from harmful substances, adding an extra layer of safety for the surface you touch. If you prioritize certified cover materials for health reasons, the Ultima model has this documented advantage. The Green Tea model lacks this specific cover detail in its specs.
Weight and Capacity
The Green Tea Full mattress weighs 36.7 pounds and supports up to 500 lbs for Full sizes. The Short Queen Ultima model weighs 44.4 pounds. The data does not explicitly state the weight capacity for the Short Queen size, though Twin sizes in the Green Tea line support 250 lbs. The Green Tea model provides a clear 500 lb limit for its size. The Ultima model is heavier, which might affect handling during setup. You should verify the weight limit for the Short Queen if you are heavier sleepers.
